Beach Sprint Academy (BSA) continues to strengthen Torrevieja’s reputation as a premier international destination for elite coastal rowing, following a series of high-performance training camps involving national teams from across the globe.

In early 2026, BSA welcomed the Danish National Beach Sprint Team to Torrevieja for their first-ever dedicated beach sprint training camp. With beach sprint rowing set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, Denmark selected Torrevieja and Beach Sprint Academy as their base to gain hands-on experience and technical development in this rapidly growing discipline.

Shortly after, BSA hosted a group of 11 athletes from Ireland, representing Wicklow Rowing Club alongside athletes from clubs across the country. Accompanied by parents and supporters, the Irish delegation brought a total of 23 visitors to Torrevieja, highlighting the broader community impact of these camps.

Feedback from visiting families has reinforced the growing appeal of Torrevieja beyond sport. One parent noted:
“I never would have considered Torrevieja as a place to come on holiday, but accompanying my child to this camp gave me the opportunity to explore the city. It completely changed my perspective, and I will definitely return with my family.”

Adding to this momentum, athletes from Great Britain—one of the most successful rowing nations in the world—returned once again to train at BSA. Their continued presence reflects both the quality of the facilities and the unique environment Torrevieja offers, with many now regarding the city as a second home.

This growth builds on strong foundations established in previous years, where Beach Sprint Academy has also hosted national teams from the Czech Republic, the United States, and New Zealand—further cementing its position on the international stage.
